28 May Allowing God In The Details As He Answers Prayer

Before I was a stay at home mom I worked in the restaurant industry for about 15 years.
I waited on tables and did a few years of management.
I loved my job and my customers knew it.

When I first met the Lord, I was waitressing.
He would reveal himself to me during my shift in many different ways.
I looked for him.
This is where I discovered that He was my Helper.
I used to try and memorize my orders without writing them down even for big parties and sometimes he would remind me of small details that I had forgotten.
This is where I discovered that He was my Strength.
On the hard days or with the difficult tables, He would reveal himself in a unique way to show me that He was with me.
This is where He revealed that He was my Provider.
On days where when I needed to make a certain amount, I would make $1 extra than what I needed to walk out with.
This is where He showed me that anything that is important to me, is important to Him.
I would ask him to help me even in the midst of a silly server contest and I was usually always the one to win. Blown away!
It came to the point to where each time I had a new table,
daily and in each moment,
I would ask Him to show me something new…
This was so exciting to me!
Life went from the same old boring routine to a new adventure daily!
I found opportunities.
Some days were fun.
Some were tough.
Sometimes people could be really mean and sometimes people were a blessing sent from God, but through each one, I was learning more and more.

Most of my life I had felt alone but when I discovered God, and how REAL He was, He surely became a part of everything that existed around me.

Lord, bring me deeper and show me more. Mold me and make something out of me that shines with you, and for you. Reveal yourself more and more.
God answers prayer…..

Then my husband and I had our second beautiful child.
The cost of daycare with both children would have been more then what I bring home so the dream of being a stay at home mom was given favor 🙂

As any parent who stays at home with their children knows, this can be tough. Especially at first!
A baby and my precious little girl (who has always needed extra TLC, lol).

GOD GAVE ME NEW CUSTOMERS! LOL

When they needed something, they needed it right now.
They don’t leave the restaurant and they stay all night.
I don’t clock out anymore.
They don’t tell me that I’m doing a really great job.
I don’t get a tip anymore.
Sometimes I find their food in my couches and spilled all throughout my van.
They even wake me up to eat..
When they hear that we are out of something, I hear about it until I go to the store to get it myself.
I’m a hostess, cook, server, busser, and dishwasher now, plus not only do I clean the linens but I wash their clothes too.

Yes, there are days where I would love to have another server take over (Mr. Daddy)
But my regulars always request ME!
What an honor and a privilege God has given me, by choosing them!

And on the hardest and longest days,
I just have to remember that,
I ‘get to’ not ‘have to’.

I’ve also heard that God will use circumstances in your life because He knows you’re a diamond…
and through the circumstances, any rough edges that you have will be made perfect through Him.

If you are listening, He is always speaking.
HE STILL SHOWS ME THINGS THRU THE EXPERIENCES WITH MY “CUSTOMERS”!

He answered my prayers in an all-in-one beautiful, miraculous way when he called me to be a MOM!

GOD DESIRES TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROUTINES AND DUTIES.
HE DESIRES TO TAKE THE LIFE THAT YOU ARE ALREADY LIVING AND MAKE YOU INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL, ON PURPOSE AND WITH A PURPOSE.
HE WANTS TO Give YOU A NEW NAME.
HE WANTS TO TAKE THE EMPTINESS AND FILL IT FULL WITH LIFE THAT COMES ONLY THRU A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

He cares about the small and big things you deal with and go through.
He sees and knows all.

Father, open eyes to you,
seeing a new perspective and excitement throughout the day.
Open ears to hear your voice and leading…
Bring a greater and deeper intimacy through the leading of your Holy Spirit in day-to-day circumstances.
Change hearts and lives in a way that only you can do.
Lord take lives and bring Life to them!
